Pastor's Corner
Pastor's Corner September We usually think of January as being the month of new beginnings, as opposed to old beginnings, I guess. Most of us have some type of New Year's resolutions that we follow through on or leave by the side of the road. In the Church calendar, Advent marks the new beginning of the Church Year. In reality, September is the month of new beginnings for church members. Sadly, many "take the Summer off" from worshipping our God. Thankfully He doesn't "take the Summer off" from watching over us. With September at Concordia, we get back to the old Sunday schedule of 8:30 and 11, with Bible Class and Sunday School at 9:45-10:45. Confirmation Class begins for our 7th and 8th graders. Wednesday worship will begin a new video series at 7pm. Different organizations and groups begin meeting again. How wonderful it is that we have a God of second chances Who forgives us and offers a new beginning for all who believe in Jesus. God Is Good....All The Time! Pastor Matthews
